Touch the top of one handle to an armpit. Step on the rope with both feet and touch the other armpit. If the handle does not reach, the rope is too short and cannot be corrected. If it is too long, it has to be cut. Having 7’, 8’ and 9’ (2.1m, 2.4m and 2.7m) lengths provides reasonably close approximations. How many of each size does your program require? How do students quickly identify the correct length rope they need? Having all those extra ropes makes the “tangle-knot nightmare” worse.
